Found this outside the apartment.  I was with Sam, so I summoned the courage to capture the dangerous looking insect in our “bug jar” (please feel free to aplaud). 

I was hoping to make up for this other thing I smashed to smitherines in front of her the other day- I don’t think she’ll ever look at me the same again, but I’m telling you- it was kill or be killed.   Goodness, but that Texas heat can bring some unwelcome critters.
