An elephant’s faithful…

A while back, we picked up Horton Hatches the Egg; Sam fell in love.  Saturday, while we were up late celebrating Fathers’ Day, we ate cake and read her bedtime story at the table, only to discover that she could tell us the story!  Here’s Sam reciting it almost word for word for four pages!  We were cracking up-

In case you’ve never read the story, or just can’t tell what she’s saying (What two year old speaks clearly enough to be understood by the general population?) , this is the part of the story where Horton sits on the nest through the winter, and then while his friends tease him, and run away.  Still he declares, “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.  An elephant’s faithful one hundred percent!”
