Okay all you avid readers out there- I need some good books to read, and I know some of you know where to find them. I’ve made the mistake of reading a couple of New York Times Bestsellers, and then a Pulitzer winning novel or two, but I am running across some material I could go without. So… If you’re in a secret book club (I won’t out you, but you know who you are), or if you just know of some good reads, send them my way.
I’m totally not up on what’s been recently published. But I have a few standby favorites:
The Brothers Karamazov
The Essential Frankenstein (this edition has some fantastic annotations that make it a good read)
The Genesis Trilogy-Madeline L’Engle (an interesting perspective on the first few Biblical prophets)
I have copies of all these books, so let me know if you’d like to borrow any.
Also, I have an account on Goodreads which has reviews on the few books I’ve read over the last year. I’ll send you an invite via e-mail, in case you are interested in linking up.

Not literature, but I’m loving “The Blessing of a Skinned Knee.” Jewish perspective on raising respectful kids.

Have you read the “Twilight” series by Stephenie Meyer. Great books. I only read church books mostly. Twilight is by an LDS author, but is not publised by the church. I thought it was fantastic. There are 3 books in the series and a 4th due out in August. I’m sure you could find them in the library or even fairly inexpensive on Amazon.com. Let me know if you read them.
